75th anniversary of the Allied Forces’ landing in Normandy

The head of the Polish government arrived at UK’s Portsmouth Harbour which served as the launching point for the Allied fleet on 5 June 1944. At the invitation of the Prime Minister Theresa May and in the company of Queen Elizabeth II and world leaders from countries such as the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France and Canada, the Prime Minister took part in the ceremonies commemorating the actions of allied forces in Normandy (D-Day) and met World War II veterans.
