Prime Minister’s meeting with commissar Janusz Lewandowski

On Friday in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk met with commissar Janusz Lewandowski who is responsible for budget and financial programming in European Commission.
The meeting concerned Multiannual financial framework of the European Union for 2014-2020.
This year the negotiations regarding EU multiannual budget will enter critical phase. European Commission’s proposal presented in June, last year, remains the basis for discussion.
During the Polish Presidency a debate on the budget for the following six-year period was initiated. A conference dedicated to this issue was also organised in Brussels. Poland advocates and strives for, among others, maintaining the highest possible level of financing for cohesion policy.
