Waldemar Pawlak
Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Economy
Born on 5th September 1959 in Model.
Graduated from the Automobile and Agricultural Machinery Faculty of the Warsaw University of technology. Participated in the strike at the University in December 1981.
Twice the Chairman of the Council of Ministers.
Chairman of the Polish Peasants Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe). Member of the Parliament (the Sejm) since 1989. President of the Board of the Warsaw Board of Trade (Warszawska Giełda Towarowa) till 2005. Chairman of the General Board of the Union of Voluntary Fire Brigades (Związek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych).
Since 1984 he has been running a 17 hectare agricultural farm in Kamionka near Pacyna.
