Joanna Mucha
Minister of Sport and Tourism

Born on 12 April 1976 in Płońsk.
In 2001, graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, and in 2006, from post-graduate studies in health economics at the same university. In 2007, received a PhD degree in healthcare economy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2002-2010, worked as an assistant lecturer at the Institute of Economy at the Catholic University of Lublin.
Joined the Civic Platform in 2003. At the beginning, focused on technical aspects of the party’s activities. Held the function of a regional proxy for finance twice ( in 2004 and 2005) and of a regional proxy for election once ( in 2006). In 2006, became the Secretary of the Lublin Region.
In 2007, became an MP, representing the Lublin electoral district. In the Seym of the 6th term, member of the Committee on Health and the Committee on Public Finance. Chair of the extraordinary subcommittee on discussing the government bill on the amendment of the act on chambers of pharmacy and member of the permanent subcommittee on public health, as well as the permanent committee on financial institutions. Held the function of the Secretary of the Team for Bio-Ethical Convention.
An MP in the Seym of the 7th term.
Speaks English and German.
Mother of two sons: Stanisław and Krzysztof.
