Paweł Graś
Secretary of State, Government Spokesman

Born on 23rd February 1964 in Kęty.
Studied law at the Jagiellonian University for three years, but eventually graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the Institute of Political Sciences, Jagiellonian University, where he majored in journalism.
His studies in Kraków intertwined work with politics. His political career began at the opposition Independent Student Association at Jagiellonian University, where he chaired the University Commission in the late 80-ties, and was continued on the legal political arena after the elections of 1989.
He spent the early nineties building his IT company which he managed for the next 10 years. He returned to politics in 1995 to co-found "Movement 100" formed by Czesław Bielecki, Andrzej Olechowski, and Franciszka Cegielska. He established Movement structures in the Małopolska region and chaired its political council.
In 1998, he became the advisor to PM Jerzy Buzek and was responsible for defence, state security and crisis response matters. It was when he cooperated with the Special Military Formation GROM. He has been working in the parliament since December 1998 and currently serves as a member of two extraordinary committees for the bill on the Foreign Intelligence Agency, Security Intelligence Agency and Military Intelligence Services.
Since 2001 he has been contributing to development of the Civic Platform, including its structures in the Małopolska region. He is the Deputy General Secretary of the domestic Civic Platform structures.
Last elections won him the fourth MP ticket.
Married, the father of Jakub.
